This game was a shootout by both teams with the Spartans
coming out on top 92-85. Manu Esso hit the first 3 pointer by either team to
spark a 14-4 run that had the Spartans up by 8 midway through the first half.
Brian White paced SportsQuest with 13 first half points and Travis Johnson was
a presence on the boards with 5 first half rebounds, yet some late 3 pointers
had the Spartans down 1 at the midway point. In the second half SportsQuest was
able to open up the offense on the fast break, resulting in layups and open
shots. Jordan Swopshire scored 18 of his 19 points in the second half, hitting
three shots from beyond the arc. Myles Turner was able to attack the basket,
resulting in him making 8 of 9 free throws. Jordan Dawes had a great all around
game with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Late free throws
sealed the deal and the Spartans came away with a great victory.
