The Spartans had a tough shooting day which resulted in a
56-80 loss to Riverdale Baptist in Maryland on Monday. Trailing from behind much of the game,
SportsQuest made an impressive surge to cut the lead down to 9 towards the end
of the second quarter. This was due in part to great defense by George Mumin
and Filip Music, along with timely rebounding by Daniel KilCullen, who had 3
rebounds during the run. Curt Jones ended the game as the leading scorer with
16 points, and Marsellis Purvis had a great game with 10 points, 8 rebounds,
and 4 blocks. Brian White and Jordan Swopshire were forces on the glass with 8
rebounds each.
